Condolences
Anand Birje Graceful, loving and caring October 15, 2014

Shifali was a year junior to me in engineering school and I really didnt get to know her until after college. While we spoke briefly a few times in college and she always left an impression of someone that was amazingly graceful, poised and caring...during the final years of college I went through a tragic loss of my elder brother who passed away after a fatal car accident. Even while she knew me very little then, Shifali made it a point to meet me and offer condolences and talk about family and love....it left a lasting impression on me. Later on i met her a few times when I worked briefly in India in Emerson Electric and she was in a consultancy firm...she always spoke abt her ambitions, wanted my views on career and i was ever impressed with her grace and optimism of life. I moved to the US in 1997 and lost touch with Shifali. I live in San Francisco area but never reconnected all these years and was shocked to find out abt her struggles with cancer only recently. Very proud that she fought for so long and I am confident that she continues to watch over her family and girls from heaven with the same grace and smile....God bless and prayers...from Anand and Pareezad Birje

Dear shifali, your were a warm, caring and charming to one and all. A loving wife to subra and a caring mother to your two beautiful kids shruti and richa.  Your life is motivation to all of us for you seemed to be so vibrant and agile. May your soul rest in peace.             Chandra vadana.
Veerendra Borde Goodbye dear friend July 15, 2014

I was Shifali's batchmate in Engineering. I have only wonderful memories of her as a kind and warm person who was friendly and always smiling. The last I saw her was at her wedding reception and she seemed so happy and full of life. I regret we didnt keep in touch, but I will always remember her as the warm and wonderful friend that she was.
Farewell my friend. May your soul rest in peace.

I wish her family great strength to move forward and recover from the loss.
Swagata Bandyopadhyay My childhood friend... July 14, 2014

When I first got introduced to you in RCF...I knew I would never forget your name as it was the same as my grandmother. We played together in the beautiful lawn of RCF for so many years. You were more known to as "Sweety" your nickname...I used to admire your dressing style....I tried to search you on facebook last year but mis-spelt your the "i" in your name with "e" and missed connecting with you....something I will regret now. When I first heard the news it was truly unbeleivable...you were so young...so many small memories of our childhood days started running through my mind whole day.....I let our whole group know and everyone was speechless.....sending you lots of love whereever you are....
John Berra You Made Us All Better July 14, 2014

I worked with Shifali for many years at Emerson.  She was part of the team on so many of the most important marketing efforts of my time.  Her contributions were huge and the impact of them goes on today with our customers and employees.  When I think of Shifali, I think of the word "genuine."  She spoke her mind, but was always respectful of others.  People loved to work with her because it was clear that she cared much more about the team goals than she did about herself.  She fought with courage after she became ill and served as an example to all of us.  She will be missed, but her friends and relatives can know that we all were made better because we knew her.  Her work, and those everyday conversations with her will be remembered fondly.

Neeraja Dubagunta Childhood memories July 14, 2014

We had not been in touch for a very long time. As kids, we used to live in the same building which was part of a colony where our fathers worked for ( RCF colony, Mumbai). We used to play together in our small group of friends at the colony park every evening. Those were my childhood memories that i have with Shifali. As we moved out, I lost all touch. Came to know that she had got married and had kids. I feel very sad that we lost such a wonderful child who grew up to be loved by so many people. May God give her family the strength to move forward and take care of their children.

Jim & Lynn Bible Her beautiful smile bestows upon us July 11, 2014

I had the pleasure of meeting Shifali at a Prometheus Labs Christmas party.  While the meeting was brief, she left an endearing impression.  I was deeeply saddened when we heard that she lost her battle with cancer, especially after such a long fight.  My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Subra and his family.
